Watermark for Kids
Our Residents and Associates Help Underserved Kids Thrive.
Executive. CEO. Athlete. Teacher. So many of our residents have developed exceptional skills over their lifetimes, which they are eager to share.
Match them as coaches with underserved kids in our communities and everyone wins.
Our Watermark for Kids is a non-profit organization founded by David Barnes, president of Watermark. His vision was simple: Harness the abundant skills and compassion of Watermark’s residents and associates, with a program that embraces them as coaches and mentors.
This innovative program helps underserved young people, ages 6-22, build character, strengthen their leadership skills, and express their creativity.
- Watermark for Kids has helped hundreds of kids with $1 million in support awards for books, computers, travel expenses for academics and sports, racing wheelchairs, aquatic chair lifts, dental implants, musical instruments and lessons, dance classes, running shoes, and more.
- Thrive! Classic Golf Tournament raised more than $125,000 in 2021.
- Silents auction raised more than $16,000 in 2021.
